Home Visiting
To help give your child the best start in life, The Greater Hazelwood Family Center provides home visiting services to support parents' and caregivers' needs.
Activities, Assessments, and Connection to Services
Services that you will find helpful to your family are connections to many resources:
We have a diaper bank, supplemental transportation, education workshops facilitated by various presenters, and assistance with utilities, to name a few.
We personalize our family's needs through Home Visits by meeting twice a month to assist with your child's developmental needs using fun and educational activities.
One great benefit is the assessments to help track your child's development.
We also assist the family with accomplishing goals they would like to achieve using a strength-based approach.
Our Family Development Specialists are certified in the Parents As Teachers Curriculum providing developmentally appropriate activities, cognitive assessments, and social/emotional assessments for your child.
When needed, we help families connect to Early Intervention services while supporting them through the process.
Family Goal Planning
We also empower families during home visits with family goal planning to help you reach the dreams and goals you have for your family.
We create opportunities for families to construct parental resilience when times get tough, and build relationships through social connections. We are each other's biggest support! The benefits of home visiting can last throughout your child's life academically and socially/emotionally.
