Monthly visits from your Family Support Specialist
Information and Resources
Provide follow-up on your child’s health and nutrition
Help setting and meeting family goals
Assistance with necessary community agencies to create healthy environments for you and your family
Family Participation
Parent(s) will:
Participate in center parent meetings
Work with your child on home activities
Be available for parent conferences
Be available for home visits by childcare teachers, and EHS Childcare Liaison / Classroom Coordinators, and EHS Support Specialist
Provide paperwork such as health care consents, well-child check-ups
Collaborate on developmental screenings and goal plans
Early Head Start Professionals
Family Support Specialist
Family Support Specialist’s job is meeting with families once a month to both create goals together (financial, educational, etc.) and help achieve them. They work with parents and guardians to find additional outside resources and can help make referrals, providing extra support in helping our children grow.
Child Care Liasions
Child Care Liaisons help program directors stay in compliance with our Early Head Start standards as well as assisting teachers with our curriculum. They visit classrooms to monitor the on-going safety and wellness and ensure monthly paperwork for centers is complete to help track our kiddos, making sure they are on the right path. They provide activities and suggestions to help children succeed.
Healthy Child
Healthy Child supports child care centers and families, providing developmental, behavioral, and mental healthcare support to children and facilitating consultation, intervention, and mentoring/education for teachers, caregivers, parents, and administrators.
Health Coordinator Specialist
Health Coordinator/ Specialist ensures the tracking of your child’s health care information. They visit classrooms to perform vision and hearing screenings as well as providing assistance with health issues which may arise in child care centers.
